Our double-sided Punchplates are designed to hold 12 words and an 8-digit number. A Punch-tool is included for marking the index number of each of the 12 words you wish to record. A numbered list of the possible words (BIP39) is provided with the Punchplate and can also be found here.
Made to last generations, the Punchplate resists fires, floods, corrosion, and crushing – all at a fraction of the cost of other cold storage devices.
Material: 304 Stainless Steel, .07" thick.
Each Punchplate includes the BIP-39 word list, a separate Punch-tool, and every order comes with a FREE Marker for your convenience.
So how does it work?
The numbers across the top correspond to the BIP39 words. The corresponding BIP-39 number of each word is encoded in a clockwise pattern, starting from the top triangle/position. One word per column. The number order is indicated in the corners of the Punchplate. The Punchplate III also has an 8 number label section to help identify the card. Before punching, mark the Punchplate with a permanent marker to avoid any punching errors. Always test restore from the Punchplate!
